The Workbook of extended abstracts
The "extended abstracts", uploaded through the conference website, will
be briefly reviewed and printed in the Conference Workbook, available
by the conference opening. The "extended abstracts" for the Workbook
may be prepared and submitted either in Russian or in English, following
the style files and the sample files.
Besides the Conference Workbook, we plan to publish the FPS'11
Proceedings in a special issue of the "Journal of Superconductivity and
Novel Magnetism" (Springer), tentatively, in the beginning of 2012. The
manuscripts intended for journal piblication, in English, should be
submitted at the FPS'11 registration desk. The manuscripts for journal
publication will be selected based on referee reviews. Detailed
requirements for the manuscript preparation and the sample files will be
posted later.
FPS'11 Organizing Committee
The Workbook of extended abstracts
Manuscripts for the FPS'11 Workbook may be submitted either in Russian
or in English. The Workbook (single volume, A4 page size) will be
printed before the Conference opening and distributed among participants
at the registration desk.
Manuscripts (as a Tex-file supplemented with figure files) should be submitted before the deadline. The manuscript files should be packed in a single archive file (ZIP, RAR), entitled by the presenting author name.familyname (e.g., j.k.ivanov.zip, a.b.loktev.rar). The archive file should be uploaded via the personal page of a registered participant at the conference web-site. Notification of the manuscript acceptance (or rejection) will be sent to the authors.
Any changes to the manuscript after submission are not welcome and will be rejected after June, 20. The only way to make corrections to your manuscript before this date is to submit its newer version as a full set of files with different names (e.g. j.k.ivanov_1.tex, j.k.ivanov_1.zip, etc.).
Length of the manuscripts:Plenary talks - up to 4 pages.
Invited talks - up to 3 pages.
Oral talks and posters - up to 2 pages.
Guidelines for manuscripts preparation:
Manuscripts submitted for the FPS'11 Workbook should be prepared as
LaTeX-2e files, supplemented with eps-figures. The manuscripts will not
be edited, rather, they will be printed in the authors version. The
FPS'11* style files may be downloaded here. Usage of other style files,
and deviation from the FPS'11* style files are not allowed and may cause
rejection of the manuscript.
Some important points:
1. Preparation of manuscripts in Russian is organized using the Babel package, with the Cyrillic encoding win1251 (ANSI). For this purpose, the following commands are used in the manuscript preamble:
\usepackage[T2A]{fontenc}(see sample files). Correspondingly, the author's LaTeX-2e version should include the corresponding packages (fontenc, inputenc, babel). For Windows users, it is recommended to use the MiKTeX, which includes all above packages. The same set of packages should be also used for manuscripts prepared in English (see sample files).
\usepackage[cp1251]{inputenc}
\usepackage[english,russian]{babel}
2. The page format, margins, footers and headers are determined by the style files and by formatting commands in the document preamble (see sample files); they should not be modified. Before uploading the manuscripts at the conference site, it is strongly recommended to check carefully the dvi-file of your manuscript, as generated by your LaTeX, in order to make sure that the manuscript length does not exceed the above limits, and that the figures and formulas are correctly reproduced.
3. For inserting the eps figures to the manuscript tex-files, please use the commands included in the sample files.
4. Besides, we ask you to follow the usual rules:
- The title of the paper should start with a capital letter, all other words should be typed in lower case.
- Do not use your own macros (exceptions are allowed only for physical and mathematical notations: Hom, Tr, etc.). The style files contain the definitions of the commands \Real и \Imag for real and imaginary parts.
- For hyphen, short dash and long dash, the style files have the following commands: \d (hyphen), \ch (short dash), \t (long dash) - these symbols enable hyphenation. There are corresponding complementary commands (\D; \CH; \T) - to disable hyphenation.
- For fractions, please use \frac; for opening quots ``, for closing quots ''.
- For unjustified formulas, one can use \hm ahead of all relation signs; then the signs will be repeated at the beginning of the new lines (e.g., $a\hm+b\hm=c$, $\alpha\hm\times\beta\hm\ge\gamma$).
- To italicize, use \emph{text to be emphasized}.
- Physical Units should be typed in the text mode in regular font, a small space (\,) should separate the digit and the units: $H_c=15$\,T, $l=2$\,mcm.
- Between the initials, please insert the small space (\,) whereas between the initials and the full name - regular space (1. A.\,B.~Ivanov, C.\,D.~Petroff, I.\,M.~Segeev et al., ZhETF \textbf{92}, 290 (1990).).
- For upper and lower indices, and in formulas, please use ONLY ENGLISH and GREEK letters.
Please, familiarize with English or Russian sample files.
The style files for various sections may be found here.
NB: the sample files and the style files are packed as ZIP-archives.
